Iran actress Mehrave Sharifinia wins nom in Spain fest

Iran artist Mehrave Sharifinia lands a Best Actress nomination for her starring role in ‘Wander About Me’ at Marbella International Film Festival in Spain.

According to the fest’s official website, the Iranian actress was nominated along with Emily Wyatt for ‘Rise of the Footsoldier’ and Michelle Collins for ‘Black Road’.

This comes as Collins managed to nab the award at the closing of the event held October 8.

Directed by Ghazaleh Soltani, the flick was shown at the 12th edition of the fest on Saturday.

Besides the lead actor, Behnaz Jafary, Soosan Maghsoodlou, Nasrin Nakisa and Negar Fathi play in the movie.

Sharifinia won the Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role from the Film Critics & Writers Association for 'There’s Nothing Going on Behind The Door' in 2010 and Award for Best Actress in TV series for 'Goodbye Child’ from Image World Celebration in 2014.
